Upon graduating from Decatur Central High School in 1971, I entered Purdue University School
of Engineering and Technology graduating in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree. During
my freshman year at Purdue, I was drafted into the United States Army. I was trained in
classified communications with training in computer programming and operations for classified
information. I proudly served in Seoul, Korea. Upon completion of my military obligations I
was honorably discharged and returned to finish my degree.
After graduation from Purdue, I worked for Rieth-Riley Construction on various bridges, roads,
airport runways and earthwork projects. After leaving Rieth-Riley, I went to work for Geupel
Demars as a project engineer/superintendent for the construction of the new Indianapolis Zoo.
In October of 1987, I started Pulliam-Scott Construction Inc with Ron Scott and started my
custom home building career along with remodeling, renovation and light commercial
construction. Several years ago, I bought out Ron Scott so that he could relocate to Florida.
My business is structured so that all of my clients deal directly with me. I have no
superintendent or manager.
My wife, Gayle, and I have been married since 1982 and we have 3 children.
